Our client is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join their team and streamline operations at two of Edinburgh's most iconic properties. The first, nestled in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town, offers 92 luxury apartments that beautifully blend historic architecture with modern luxury. Surrounded by some of the city’s most famous attractions, it provides guests with an unforgettable stay. The second property, located on the Royal Mile, is set in the heart of Edinburgh’s historic core, just a few minutes' walk from Edinburgh Castle. This location offers an unmatched sense of luxury and history, providing guests with a truly exceptional experience in one of the city's most prestigious areas.
The Job
As the HR Manager, your role will be pivotal in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, motivating your team to reach their full potential while also encouraging your own growth. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will implement a people-first approach across both luxury properties. While front-of-house operations are essential, you will also oversee key behind-the-scenes functions such as payroll, recruitment, and employee engagement, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining a smooth, efficient, and positive working environment that supports the high standards of the properties.
What our client needs from you
- Previous Experience: Our client is seeking a candidate with a minimum of 2 years' experience in HR management, ideally within the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge: A strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices is essential.
- CIPD: The ideal candidate will either hold a CIPD qualification or be working towards achieving it.
- Payroll: Experience in managing payroll processes, along with a solid understanding of payroll systems and compliance requirements, is a must.
- Personality: Our client is looking for someone with excellent communication skills, who can build trust and foster strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Drive: The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to leadership, influencing and collaborating with managers to implement HR initiatives that drive company success.
