As one of Edinburgh's premier sports venues, our client takes pride in their large guest list and busy and successful food and beverage operation.
The role
Our clients are looking for a passionate and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead their operations and oversee all aspects of F&B services. While some evening work may be required for events, the core working hours are during the day, which could be particularly appealing to those seeking a more balanced schedule.
The ideal candidate will excel in driving financial success while enhancing the overall guest experience. You will create a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere for all visitors, ensuring every interaction leaves a lasting impression.
With a dynamic, engaging personality, you will lead and motivate a dedicated team, fostering a culture of excellence in both bar and kitchen services. Your focus will be on staff development, building a fun, high-performing team that delivers exceptional service and upholds our client’s reputation for quality and hospitality.
The person
- A passion for hospitality and impeccable service with experience in a management capacity in a similar role
- Proven leadership and team inspiration skills.
- Experience of recruiting and training staff
- Comprehensive knowledge of statutory requirements, especially Health & Safety, licensing, and legal regulations.
- Strong business acumen, including financial literacy and stock management.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in event management.
- A positive and flexible approach to work (weekend and evening work will be required at times)
The responsibilities
- Enhance the guest experience, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
- Manage financial aspects including cash and credit management, stock control, staffing budgets, and pricing
- Develop and implement strategic and budgetary plans in conjunction with the General Manager.
- Identify and capitalise on opportunities to drive revenue and profit in line with established targets.
- Lead, support, and motivate the team, setting an example of exceptional customer service.
- Focus on staff development through ongoing training and mentorship, building a cohesive, fun, and high-performing team.
