Our client, a prestigious Bar and Restaurant Group has an exciting opportunity for a Chic and Trendy, Night Venue, General Manager to manage a busy iconic unit in the heart of Edinburgh. This role has arisen due to the continued success of the group which has recently gone through expansion and internal movements. The property is a trendy destination for locals and tourists alike and is situated in a prime location in the heart of Edinburgh's city centre.
The Job:
As General Manager you will be clearly responsible for running this amazing city centre destination venue from the front, the face of the business, driving up the energy levels and working closely with your Assistant General Managers, making sure that all policies and procedures are implemented through a team of loyal, devoted and dedicated team members in growing and establish the superb customer service reputation that will help bring individuals back again and again.
You will be passionate about creating a comfortable and friendly, yet professional environment for all guests and the team, it is essential that you have drive and enthusiasm.
The Person:
Ideally, we are looking for an experienced Night Venue Manager or indeed perhaps an existing Bar Manager who might well be looking to make that move to a new and exciting hospitality sector, applying candidates must be able to demonstrate a quality background and a track record within the licensed trade to date, this successful individual must be able to commercially understand how an independent entrepreneurial operates coupled with the understanding of how branded concepts change and compete within a very competitive environment.
As General Manager you will be hands-on which will involve overseeing the day-to-day operations of this highly desirable trendy outlet. You will be responsible for leading & motivating the team. The main focus has to be on quality beverages, exciting new drinks, wines, champagnes and cocktails and high-quality service. In addition, you will be assisting with staff rotas and wage costs, stock ordering and control.
