The Place:
Xpress are delighted to be working with one of our UK Asset Management clients who own and operate a wide range of Hospitality and Leisure interests across a UK portfolio. As part of their Northern / Scottish expansion plans they are now looking at acquiring an additional outlet based within the Inverness and Highlands region within the Visitor Attraction Tourism Sector and as part of their investments plans, they are working with Xpress on the appointment of a Venue based General Manager
The Job:
As Venue General Manager you will be fully responsible for the commercial management of this multi-million-pound venue. As Venue General Manager you will report into a Northern Based Area Director. During covid our clients have taken the opportunity to invest in all areas of the venue so that visiting customers are experiencing an outstanding experience. As Venue General Manager you will be responsible for making sure that all the companies covid policies and procedures relating to cleaning, health and hygiene policies are all being carried out by your team in line with the company’s policies as well as making sure your business is working to all agreed Budgets, rotas and customer services standards. Which in a high-volume environment requires you as Venue General Manager to demonstrate good leadership along with great staff motivation and training. You will be fully responsible for the commercial sales and marketing strategy and working closely with your team and your Regional Support to make sure that you are online with driving footfall and customer spend within the property.
The Person:
Ideally, we are looking to attract an experience individual who perhaps has gained experience working in an existing “Visitor Attraction” where you have multiple revenue streams across your venue offering customers “A venue Experience” along with retail and dining. You might well be an existing General Manager working in a traditional Hotel Resort or indeed a smaller type of environment with leisure club experience now looking to take that next step up into more of a “Commercial Managers remit” : Owing to this position being our clients first venture into the Highlands of Scotland at this stage in the selection process we are only going to be considering candidates who know and area either from living and working there or perhaps have moved location and wish to re locate back to the area.
The Rewards:
Our client is looking to pay circa £40,000 to £45,000 along with additional benefits for an experienced individual who can demonstrate a clear and consistent within their cv to date
