Currently, the salary on offer is circa £50k plus a first-class bonus structure + help with initial accommodation to the area if needed.
The Place
Our client owns and operates an award-winning hotel in Aberdeenshire. Owing to internal management changes the company is now looking to appoint a new General Manager to head up and lead the current hotel team. As General Manager you will be fully responsible for the day-to-day running of this very busy food and beverage hotel operation within the luscious countryside of Aberdeenshire.
The Job
As General Manager you will be fully responsible for reporting to the current owners (ex Hospitality professionals), the hotel currently operates with a very flat and compact reporting structure, so as a General Manager you will easily be able to make those critical business changes without having to wait for corporate sign-offs. As General Manager, you will be expected to take a clear leadership and ambassador role in making sure that within your local marketplace, you are engaging with the movers and shakers within the region. The team are currently performing well, however, it is expected that with the appointment of a new General Manager, all areas of staff recruitment, training and development will be focused on as the property pushes forward with gaining more market share from its competitor set. This role is hands-on, customer-facing, a trademark where you are leading from the front so forget the office desk taking up most of your day.
The Person
Ideally, we are looking for an experienced individual who has gained working knowledge and experience within a country house setting in a General Manager capacity, where the focus is on food and beverage running well within the whole environment. Applying candidates could be already working within a property that has multi-F&B capacity or indeed be an experienced Hotel Manager looking for that next step up in your career to that of a General Manager appointment.
